Fun facts about Niue

In this mornings lesson my teacher Mrs Haioti was telling us fun facts about Niue. Here are 6 facts I learnt from that lesson. 

Fun fact 1 - Niue is one of the largest coral islands 

Fun fact 2 - Niue may be the world's smallest independent nation 

Fun fact 3 - The island is commonly referred to as "The Rock" a reference to Niue being one of the biggest raised coral islands in the world. 
 
Fun fact 4 - The capital of Niue is the village of Alofi

Fun fact 5 - Niueans are citizens of New Zealand 

Fun fact 6 - Niue lies 2400km northeast of  New Zealand between Tonga,Samoa and the Cook Islands.
