Our Inquiry in term 3 for 3 weeks was Olympics. Throughout the 3 weeks we had to learn about some Olympians who competed in the Olympics and the history of Olympics. Our class did something fun for the Olympic topic, we got split into 3 different countries Argentina(the best), Mexico and Japan. My Olympian that me and my buddy chose was Tom Walsh( New Zealand Olympian) and Simone Biles (American Olympian).
New Zealand Olympian-
My New Zealand Olympian me and my buddy chose was Tom Walsh. Tom Walsh is a 29 year old who is a New Zealand athlete who competes mainly in the shot put. He is the current national record holder both outdoors and indoors for the event. Tom Walsh was one of Sopot 2014's surprise medallists, throwing a final round 21.26m for bronze.
American Olympian-
My American Olympian me and my buddy chose was Simone Biles. Simone Arianne Biles is a 24 year old who is American artistic gymnast, With a combined totaal of 32 Olympic and world championship medals, Simone is tied with Laris Latynina as the most decorated gymnast of all time. Simone seven Olympic medals also ties Shannon Miller for the most Olympic medals won by an American female gymnast.
